Parks

Welcome to the Maquoketa Parks Department. It is our goal to provide quality parks and facilities which enhance the City of Maquoketa.

Maquoketa has nine parks located within the community. In addition to these, Maquoketa offers trails for pedestrian and bike use along with a campground.

Recently, the City of Maquoketa developed a river trail adjacent to the Maquoketa River. The crushed limestone trail is approximately 2400 feet long and is on average, eight feet wide. The trail is handicap accessible and offers fishing opportunities along with boat access.

Rentals/Reservations

Park Shelter Reservation
Reservations can be made one year to date ahead of time for $25.00. If the shelters are not reserved, they may be used on a first come, first serve basis. For reservations or information, call the Maquoketa Area Family YMCA at 563-652-6566.

Community Center Rental
Facilities are available to rent for a variety of uses. Seating to accommodate up to 250 people. For room availability and rental fees, please call the Maquoketa Area Family YMCA at 563-652-6566.

Donations/Memorials

The City of Maquoketa has a yearly operational budget for line items. Monetary donations in any amount are greatly appreciated. Memorials are also accepted. Commemorative plaques are attached to the donated items.
