Maquoketa Police Reserve Unit

The City of Maquoketa in 1981 authorized the Maquoketa Police Department a Police Reserve Unit of up to 10 members. This unit is a volunteer group of people dedicated to community service. Their duties include the protection of public and private property and to support and assist law enforcement in all areas of public safety. The Reserve Unit received a minimum of 80 training hours in the first year and continues to train throughout their time on the Reserves.
